Therapies
There are many different therapies available. Many of them can be used individually to great effect, although they can all be combined and used to compliment each other.
A brief description of many of the therapies offered by our members is given below.
Alexander Technique The Alexander Technique is a practical method of improving the way we use our bodies in everyday situations. The Technique helps to reduce stress and tension. It also helps to improve our balance and co-ordination in everyday activities such as standing, walking, sitting and bending. It helps you to feel great.
Alexander Technique can help alleviate conditions such as back-pain, shoulder problems, tenosynovitis, stress related symptoms, breathing and digestive problems, and conditions where excessive muscular involvement is exacerbating rheumatic/arthritic problems. Alexander teachers work in some General Practice surgeries and hospitals and some private health insurance companies are sometimes prepared to fund lessons.
