Therapies
There are many different therapies available. Many of them can be used individually to great effect, although they can all be combined and used to compliment each other.
A brief description of many of the therapies offered by our members is given below.
Metaphysics Metaphysical therapy embraces the wisdom of the message handed down by the mystics of all ages. The basic message is that we are all part of the One Life that manifests itself in countless forms throughout creation, and those forms are all interconnected. Everyone still has this memory but for most of us it is buried deep in our psyche. How did this happen, you may ask?
This happened as a result of our conditioning and the belief of being bound by time.
Conditioning
An analogy with a new born baby may help us to understand.
Research has shown that a new born baby has no sense of separation between itself and the environment: it feels as one with the mother (as it felt in the womb). When the baby grows up we start to give it an identity in the form of names (personal, family, location etc.) and possessions (toys, house, bicycle etc.) so gradually the baby is learning that it is separate from people and the environment. All of these identities are just labels and we do not even realize that we are slowly conditioning the child’s mind. Religion and education contribute further to the conditioning of our mind. We become attached to these names and labels with the subsequent fear of loss. We are now a long way from the original state when the baby entered life.
Almost all of us have gone through this process of conditioning which has resulted in a sense of fragmentation within ourselves and separation from others i.e. not feeling connected.
Time
Again as a result of upbringing and education we have learned to recognize time as the binding factor in our lives. We have learned to remember the past and to speculate about the future.
We tend to carry the past within us as either pleasant or painful and we find it hard to let go of either. Why? Because we have turned our past experiences into who we think we are.
Speculation about the future can bring about hope or anxiety and neither is real. Why?
Because there is only one time and that is the present moment.
You remember the past in the NOW and you speculate about the future in the NOW. Anything you can ever do is in the NOW!
Metaphysical therapy
A metaphysical therapist assists clients on their journey home, i.e. to rediscover their true nature as is mentioned above. Clients are first of all invited to examine their conditioning in terms of thoughts and beliefs. Left unchecked our thoughts and feelings tend to run our lives and become our identities or ‘stories’: ‘my’ pain, ‘my’ loneliness, ‘my’ loss etc. Thus we are programmed to believe in a separate ‘me’. Through awareness of our attachment to limiting beliefs we are able to release them. Freeing our conditioned mind also helps to release the fear of loss, including death.
Wouldn’t that be a liberating experience!
